Louis-Lionel Stern, (American, born 1901) Statue of Liberty
Oil on canvas, 8 x 10 inches / Signed lower right
Take a moment with this painting. Notice what it stirs in you. Not decor, but a story you get to keep looking at. This is the piece people ask about the moment they walk in.
Listed artist Lionel Stern lived and was active in New York, being known for precise urban views, figure, and graphic design work. His work has been sold through venues such as Trinity International Auctions, Weschler’s and Christie’s East. This breath taking view of the Statue of Liberty from the Hudson Bay, with tugboats, gulls, and sunlight on the water is absolutely beautiful.
